I, Frankenstein

STARRING: Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Miranda Otto
YEAR: 2014
RUN TIME: 1hr, 32mins
MY RATING: 2/10

Wow. There are only two reasons why a movie review would start with that word. It was either mind blowingly good or mind numbingly bad. I'm sure my 2/10 rating hints at to which my wow is referring. Now I was obnoxiously full from having just shoveled a large portion of pasta right before my showing of I, Frankenstein. So that could be the reason I found myself trying to hold my head up and at least one eye open just like my puppy does just incase something interesting happens. The fact that I'm beginning with details of my Carbonara coma should suggest how little this film did for me.

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones

STARRING: Andrew Jacobs, Jorge Diaz, Gabrielle Walsh
YEAR: 2014
RUNTIME: 1hr, 24 mins
MY RATING: 5/10

While most people have found themselves loathing the PA movies from the start I happened to fall into the far less populated category of fans to this franchise and have enjoyed the sequels up until the fourth installment was released. While I was let down by the fourth sequel (and will save my opinions on it for another review) I gave Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones a chance anyway.

I Spit On Your Grave 2

STARRING: Jemma Delander, Yavor Barharov, Joe Absolom
YEAR: 2013
RUN TIME: 1hr, 46 mins
MY RATING: 5/10

I Spit On Your Grave 2. Essentially the same story as the first with some changes. This time our Antagonist is Kate (Jemma Delander) and she has set out to be a model however, her portfolio is not up to snuff. Queue the creepy Craigslist (assuming) photographers. Katie ends up meeting up with Ivan (Joe Absalom) who seems nice at first and begins shooting her portfolio

Carrie

STARRING: Chloe Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore, Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday
YEAR:2013
RUN TIME: 1hr, 40mins
MY RATING: 7/10

Outcast Carrie White is tormented by high school bullies and violently sheltered by her religious mother Margaret White. She discovers telekinetic powers in herself, and after a prank at the Prom unleashes terror on her town after being pushed too far. Basically, the Carrie remake is a carbon copy of

You're Next

STARRING: Sharni Vinson, Joe Swanberg, AJ Bowen
YEAR:2013
RUN TIME: 1hr,35mins
MY RATING: 8/10

You're Next tells the story of a family that meets up at their vacation home to celebrate their parent's anniversary. They're all sitting down for a nice dinner when things go awry and they come under attack by masked murderers. The movie starts as a 10 little Indians sort of scenario and the second half flips itself on it's head and becomes a revenge tale. I am a fan of these types of
